— TL;DR

The five-second answer.

  • Solid epoxy with striping — general base and maintenance.
  • Polyaspartic — fast-turnaround for mission-critical install windows.
  • Urethane cement — base kitchens and aggressive wash-down.
  • Federal compliance, certified payroll, security-clearance-coordinated install.
— The problem

Military spec is non-negotiable. So is the install window.

Base flooring projects come with a published spec, a fixed mission-driven install window, and zero room for slippage. The right contractor is bid-qualified to federal standards, can mobilize on the security-clearance-coordinated schedule, and delivers the closeout file the COR (contracting officer's representative) will sign on. Our military work runs through a separate operational track with the federal compliance documentation built in from kickoff.

What we engineer around.

Substrate, environment, downtime — every spec gets evaluated before product is selected.

Federal labor compliance

Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, certified payroll, EEO compliance — all built into project workflow.

Security clearance

Crews and equipment coordinated through base security. Clearance lead time built into schedule.

Mission install window

Install lands inside the published mission window. Backward-scheduled from go-live with crew sized accordingly.

Hangar load

Aircraft point loads, tow bar traffic, JP-5/JP-8 spillage — solid epoxy with chemical-resistant top coat.

OSHA striping

Traffic and equipment striping installed in-coating, OSHA-spec, won't wear off.

Closeout file

COR-ready file: spec compliance, install photos, manufacturer warranty, slip rating, certified payroll.

— Typical timeline

Per mission window. Hangar install: 5–10 nights phased. Maintenance building: 3–5 nights.

— Typical cost range

Per published spec — federal labor rates apply. Material and prep at spec'd quality.

Final spec quoted on-site after substrate evaluation.

— Frequently asked

Specifics matter.

Are you cleared for military base work?
+
Yes — we run base work through our federal-compliance operational track: Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, certified payroll, EEO compliance, base security coordination, and CCR/SAM-registered. Specific clearance level coordinated per project with the contracting officer. Past base work in California available on reference request.
Can you work around mission schedules?
+
Yes — install windows on military projects are fixed and mission-driven, not negotiable. We backward-schedule from go-live, size the crew to the window, and run nights or weekends as required. Polyaspartic systems give 24-hour return-to-service for tight windows; full solid epoxy systems install over longer planned shutdowns. We commit to the published window and hit it.
What's the spec for an aircraft hangar?
+
Solid epoxy at 30–60 mil with chemical-resistant aliphatic top coat. Compressive strength rated for aircraft point loads (typically 12,000+ PSI). OSHA traffic-lane striping installed in-coating. Resistant to JP-5/JP-8, hydraulic fluid, and standard hangar chemistry. Slip rating to ANSI A326.3 DCOF 0.6+ wet. 20–25 year life under aircraft and tow-bar traffic.
What about base kitchens?
+
Urethane cement with integral cove — same spec as commercial mess halls and food processing. USDA/FDA-rated, seamless, slip-rated to DCOF 0.7+, handles aggressive caustic wash and steam clean. Installs over a single weekend with Monday open. Standard mess hall floor lifespan: 25–30 years.
