Process-critical floors. Built to spec.

Manufacturing flooring — food, beverage, pharma, electronics — is process-critical infrastructure. The spec is set by the use environment: USDA/FDA in food and pharma, ESD in electronics, ANSI A326.3 DCOF in everything wet — and the install has to land inside a planned shutdown window.

— TL;DR

The five-second answer.

  • Cost $10–$22/sq ft installed depending on system and certification requirements.
  • Urethane cement: aggressive wash-down food, beverage, brewery.
  • Epoxy quartz: clean rooms, pharma, food prep.
  • Solid epoxy or ESD: general manufacturing and electronics.
— The problem

Manufacturing flooring fails the audit, not the eye test.

Food and pharma manufacturing floors are audited annually — and the audit catches the joint that wasn't coved, the slip rating that wasn't documented, the chemistry that doesn't match the use spec. We install to the audit spec from day one: USDA/FDA-rated chemistry where required, fully seamless with integral cove, slip-rated to ANSI A326.3 DCOF 0.6+, and a closeout file that includes every datasheet, install photo and warranty document the auditor will ask for.

What we engineer around.

Substrate, environment, downtime — every spec gets evaluated before product is selected.

Audit-spec compliance

USDA/FDA, GMP, FSMA — system spec'd to the actual audit standard, documented in closeout file.

Use chemistry

Sanitizers, caustic wash, hot oil, organic solvents — chemistry chosen against actual daily exposure.

Wet slip

ANSI A326.3 DCOF ≥ 0.6 wet. Aggregate broadcast tuned to use zone.

ESD / conductive

Where required (electronics, flammable handling), ESD or conductive systems to ANSI/ESD S20.20.

Planned shutdown install

Install lands inside the planned annual or quarterly shutdown. Schedule built backward from go-live.

Closeout documentation

Datasheets, install photos, warranty, slip-rating test, audit-ready file at completion.

— Typical timeline

Per shutdown window. Urethane cement: 3–5 day install. Quartz: 4–6 day install. Phased zones for occupied facilities.

— Typical cost range

$10–$22/sq ft installed. Quartz at the low-mid; urethane cement and ESD systems at the high end.

Final spec quoted on-site after substrate evaluation.

— Frequently asked

Specifics matter.

What's the right floor for a brewery or distillery?
+
Urethane cement. Aggressive caustic wash, hot wort and grain spillage, steam cleaning, thermal shock from CIP cycles — that's the use environment. Urethane cement at 6–9 mm with integral cove is the brewery industry standard. USDA/FDA-rated. Lifespan: 25–30 years in operating breweries. Quartz is the wrong call for brewery floors — it'll fail in 3–5 years under the actual chemistry.
Can you install during a planned shutdown?
+
Yes — most manufacturing work is built around a planned annual or quarterly shutdown window. We schedule backward from go-live: substrate prep, install, cure, cleaning, equipment relocation. Urethane cement cures in 24–48 hours; quartz in 48–72 hours. Tight schedules are managed with crew sizing and night shifts. We commit to a go-live date and hit it.
What about ESD flooring for electronics?
+
Static-conductive and static-dissipative systems (epoxy or quartz with conductive aggregate or fiber) install to ANSI/ESD S20.20 spec. Resistance measured and documented at install. Grounding strap coordination with the building electrical. Required for any facility handling sensitive electronics or flammable materials.
How does the floor get audit-certified?
+
Closeout file at install completion includes: manufacturer product datasheets, MSDS, slip-rating test results (ANSI A326.3 DCOF), install photos by stage, installer certifications, manufacturer warranty, and a maintenance schedule. Auditors review this file on annual inspection. We design the file for the audit standard from kickoff.
